Langkawi Trip

I went to Langkawi on the 2th of May with my classmate from secondary school. It supposed to be our class trip which was delayed until now after 2 years time. At first, we were thinking the destination of trip. One of my friend suggested to be in Genting.

However, I just want to go a bit further and be more adventurous as I have worked in Genting before. In my personal view, I have been in Genting quite a lot of time. Hence, there are less attractive for me and I just cannot know what to enjoy in the Genting. Moreover, I have a trip recently to Genting with my colleague (YF. Hong and JS. Fong). In additional, remember that I mentioned earlier I work as a part-time photographer assistant. Owing to this reason, I will go to Genting once or twice in every months since I have been working with my uncle. Most of our jobs relevant to food and dishes under Genting restaurant. Hence, I made my mind and suggested a special trip to Langkawi.

Along the way of planning, I found that to organize a trip, you must have a systematical way. Besides checking it online, you have to personally made a phone call to the owner. As most of the time the website of that particular thing that we searched might not be updated version.

I might say that I was a bit lucky as I found something really cheap than usual. I searched it online and I found her website and video on Youtube. The first impression was that “Can I trust this offer?” For your information, the apartment rental supposed to be RM300++ as the cheapest. However, the same apartment which offer to me the same condition as stated in another website that I found was about RM220. If you are me, do you believe blindly without hesitation or you will say this must be a trap? What do you think?

I admitted that I am a bit of worry about the offer at first. Yeah, I did hesitate when come to make the decision. One of my consideration was that I must cut down the budget for my team and get for the lowest price of rental as possible. I have once came into the point that, yeah I just don’t want the offer for safety.

However, I have made my final decision after a call. I SMS the contact as stated in the website. The person I contact was a lady. Later, she called me up after a few minutes of sending the SMS. She asked me about the confirmation of booking. I just doubt that she is sincere or not. Actually, I was not prepared to communicate with her and suddenly she called up me causing me out of witness. If you are me at that moment, what is your option, confirm the booking or delay it? If delay, what is your excuse?

I chose to delay. I said I am a student at first in the SMS. Hence, I said can we get some more offer/ discount for booking your apartment. Can you guess what, she did give us RM 10.00 discount, so we only have to pay RM210.00nett per night stay. I asked whether have any hidden fee, she said no and some more no government charge (anyway Langkawi is a duty free zone).

I gave my excuse by saying I would like to discuss the matter with my team member first, so if you will to face the same situation like me, you can use the same trick to get avoid cheated first. At least what you can do to make the trip to be more safer is to check all the details and never make any instant decision. Come to check the truth of this existence offer, I would like to ask you, how can you determine this offer is whether a fake or real?

For me, first I have to know, the person I contact is really exist in this universal. So, I called up the apartment and asked for the staff there regarding the person that I contact. Then, I have to ensure that she must be living there as she told me that she stay at the same apartment. You know what, all the answer I got is true. It means that she is the owner of a few unites in the apartment. I asked my friend about the offer and they just agree without any hesitate. After the call, I have more confident about the offer as the staffs there really convinced me by saying she is the owner!

So, I made my mind that I should take the offer without further delay. For your information, we have to pay by account transfer through banking. After all the things settle, I need to handle another thing with YF.Hong that was transport. We were late to buy tickets and we enable to buy the return tickets from the same company(transnational). So, we chose another option which was recommended by the staff there as the tickets available were merely from Etika company. We had no choice but to accept it. However, I found that the seat for Etika Bus is more comfortable than transnational bus. Thus, I felt happy too.

At last, I went there and have fun over there. Moreover, I found that the owner is very nice to us as I always “kacau” her at night for wine opener . However, she still with her smiling face and offer her help. Thanks for her kindness . Moreover, she taught me a knowledge in opening of red wine. Let me test all of you, when you have opened a red wine. What is the thing that we need to take note especially for the cork?
